Radiant guide

Plans, billing, and plan changes

Compare current plan allowances, understand Shopify-hosted billing, and change plans without assuming trial or refund outcomes.
On this page

Radiant offers Free, Starter, Growth, and Scale plans. Shopify presents the charge, billing interval, taxes, and any eligible trial before a merchant approves a paid subscription.

Current plan allowances#

The current catalog defines:

PlanMonthly priceActive chartsSmart chartsSmart sessions
Free$02150 / month
Starter$3.99105500 / month
Growth$6.9930205,000 / month
Scale$10.99UnlimitedUnlimitedUnlimited

Annual billing is presented with a 20% discount relative to the listed monthly cadence. Shopify remains the final authority for the exact charge displayed to the merchant.

Plan configuration can change. Review the current billing page in Shopify before making a commercial commitment based on this table.

What the limits mean#

Active charts are the charts available within the plan’s active allowance. Smart charts are the portion that can use Smart Selector. Smart sessions are the monthly allowance for new Smart guidance.

When the Smart session allowance is reached, new Smart guidance pauses until the allowance resets or the plan changes. The full size table remains available. Radiant does not add surprise usage charges for exceeding the session allowance.

Starting a paid plan#

Choose the plan and billing interval in the app. Radiant sends the subscription request to Shopify. A paid entitlement begins only after Shopify confirms the subscription.

Paid features remain unavailable until Shopify confirms the subscription. This prevents the app from granting paid access based on an unconfirmed charge.

Trial eligibility#

Eligible stores can receive up to 14 days on eligible paid plans. A trial is not guaranteed. A store with an active paid subscription can receive zero new trial days.

Always use the trial dates shown by Shopify before approval. Do not promise a trial from marketing copy or a support message when the Shopify confirmation screen shows different terms.

Changing or cancelling a plan#

Paid plan changes and app charges are handled through Shopify. The Shopify approval screen is the source of truth for:

  • the selected plan;
  • billing interval;
  • trial eligibility;
  • tax;
  • charge timing;
  • any proration or credit that Shopify applies.

To move to Free, use the plan controls and confirm the downgrade in Radiant. Shopify then cancels the active paid app subscription and the Free plan limits apply immediately.

Refunds, taxes, and billing disputes#

Do not infer a refund, final proration, tax treatment, or effective date from the Radiant interface alone. Shopify billing rules and the confirmation or invoice govern those outcomes.

For a billing investigation, provide support with the store domain, current plan shown in Radiant, the plan shown in Shopify, and a redacted screenshot of the discrepancy. Never send complete invoices containing unnecessary personal or payment details.

Before downgrading#

Review:

  1. the number of active charts;
  2. the number of Smart-enabled charts;
  3. current monthly Smart usage;
  4. features used by the storefront customization;
  5. Analytics depth needed by the team.

A lower plan can reduce available capacity. Preserve the charts and storefront path that matter most before confirming the change.
