Analytics, attribution, and data limits

Read consultation, add-to-cart, active-time, recommendation, and return metrics without overstating what they prove.
On this page

Radiant Analytics describes how shoppers interact with sizing and how eligible events connect to later product actions. It is an operational view, not a customer list and not proof that the sizing experience caused a sale or return.

Core metrics#

Consultations#

A consultation is a completed Smart recommendation or an eligible consultation of the full size table recorded by Radiant.

Use consultations to understand how often shoppers seek sizing help. Do not interpret them as unique people unless the view explicitly says so.

Conversion rate#

In Radiant, conversion refers to an eligible add-to-cart after a sizing consultation. It is not checkout completion, paid order revenue, or a general store conversion rate.

Use the metric to compare sizing engagement with an immediate product action. Shopify, the theme, product availability, and other factors still affect the purchase journey.

Average time#

Average time describes active sizing interaction time for eligible consultations. It can help identify whether a flow is being completed quickly or whether shoppers may be working through complex information.

A higher value is not automatically better or worse. Review it with completion, table use, product context, and changes to the chart.

Return rate#

Attributed return rate uses the purchased units connected to eligible sizing events and the processed or refunded return quantities that Shopify later reports for those order lines.

It does not prove that sizing caused the return. Reasons can include product quality, style preference, fulfilment, exchanges, or other merchant processes.

Other views#

Depending on the active plan and available data, Analytics can include:

  • sizing opens and consultations;
  • recommendation activity;
  • full-table opens;
  • active interaction time;
  • eligible add-to-cart attribution;
  • size mix and product-level comparisons;
  • attributed returned units when Shopify data access allows it.

The longest selectable reporting range is 366 days. The available controls and detail can vary by plan.

What an Analytics event can contain#

An eligible event can include limited store, product, chart, surface, time, quantity, final size, fit, duration, and order references. It does not include shopper names, emails, phone numbers, postal addresses, payment data, body answers, or calculated body measurements.

Because a direct order reference can be present during the attribution window, these records should not be described as legally anonymous.

Order and return attribution#

For an eligible purchase, Radiant can store the Shopify order reference, product reference, and quantity associated with the sizing event. During the allowed window, an authorized merchant view can request the relevant processed or refunded return-line quantities from Shopify.

Radiant does not request customer contact, shipping, or payment fields for this calculation and does not copy those fields into Analytics.

Direct order references are removed after 60 days. Event totals, product references, and quantities can remain without that direct order link.

Storefront Analytics is recorded only when the merchant enables it and the applicable Shopify privacy permission allows the event.

Turning Analytics off stops new eligible activity. It does not erase previously verified reporting. Privacy requests and uninstall processing follow the separate retention and deletion rules described in the Privacy Policy.

Read changes carefully#

When comparing periods:

  1. check whether the chart or assignment changed;
  2. note theme and product-page changes;
  3. confirm product availability and variant changes;
  4. compare similar date windows;
  5. avoid conclusions from very small samples;
  6. separate add-to-cart behavior from paid-order outcomes;
  7. record whether return processing was complete at the time of the view.
