Radiant guide

Add Radiant to the storefront

Enable the floating app embed, add the inline product page block, save the theme, and verify an eligible product.
On this page

Radiant can appear in two distinct theme locations. Both use the same published chart and assignment logic, but they give the shopper a different entry point.

App embed#

The App embed provides a floating launcher on eligible product pages. Use it when the sizing entry point should remain available as the shopper moves around the product page.

From the app setup, choose Enable app embed to open the Shopify Theme Editor. Enable Radiant in App embeds, review the theme preview, and save the theme. The corresponding action becomes Disable app embed when the app detects the active placement.

Product page block#

The product page block is an inline Theme Editor block named Size selector. It can be placed near size variants, product information, or another position supported by the product template.

Choose Add block to product page, select the intended product template, position the block, and save. The setup action becomes Disable product page block when the placement is detected.

The block is not the same as the floating app embed. It has its own host in the product template and can work as the visible sizing entry point.

Use one placement or both#

Choose based on the theme:

  • use the app embed for a persistent floating launcher;
  • use the product block for an inline placement near the buying controls;
  • use both only when the two entry points help rather than duplicate or compete.

On mobile, check that a floating launcher does not cover sticky purchase controls, consent controls, or support widgets.

Save and verify#

Shopify does not apply Theme Editor changes until the theme is saved. After saving, open a published product that:

  • is assigned to a Published chart;
  • is available in the tested sales channel;
  • uses the template where the block was added, when applicable;
  • matches the expected assignment rule.

Verify the launcher or block, open the table, and complete a Smart Selector journey if the chart is eligible.

Theme and template changes#

Repeat the check after:

  • publishing a different theme;
  • assigning a product to a different template;
  • duplicating or replacing a product template;
  • moving the block to another section;
  • changing assignment coverage.

Theme changes can remove or relocate app blocks even when the Radiant configuration itself is unchanged.

If nothing appears#

Check in this order:

  1. the theme change is saved;
  2. the correct live or preview theme is open;
  3. the product uses the edited template;
  4. the product resolves to a Published chart;
  5. the expected placement is enabled;
  6. the launcher is not hidden behind another element;
  7. the browser is not showing a stale cached theme preview.

Then use Troubleshooting for a structured diagnosis.
